[YEG Review] Black Sabbath

One of the best Rock/Metal live concerts to happen in Edmonton in a long time!

Pictures taken by Jesse with his iPhone5 seated in the 100 area seats.

A enormous crowd of Sabbath fans lined up, or shall we say swarmed outside Rexall the day trying to get in the building as fast as possible. Unfortunately we were unable to experience the opening performance before the main event due to the large volume of bodies still entering the building. Thankfully we where smart enough to purchase tickets the first second they were released for sale thanks to 100.3 The Bear! You could smell the sweet smoke of Cannabis in the air in and out of the building.

We have to feel sorry for those in line for merchandise and food/beer for some missed a portion Sabbath`s opening song, the legendary War Pigs!

Many songs came after including Black Sabbath, Iron Man and their recent hit God is Dead? from their 19th album titled 13. It`s amazing how a man like Ozzy can sing! It`s nearly impossible to understand him when he talks normally haha. Scientists couldn`t even understand how he`s still alive considering the amount of drugs he has taken throughout his life. Maybe he really did sell his soul to the devil so that he could rock on?

Just before the end of their performance thousands of Metal-heads chanted "one more song" over and over until Ozzy came back to give the fans what they wanted. Their Last song was the fan favourite Paranoid which got everyone going crazy!

It is by far the Best Metal Concert we`ve seen so far and were glad to have experienced such an amazing performance and crowd of energetic fans. Everyone in the building including children (yes kids were present lol) where standing, banging their heads, holding lighters up, clapping and waving their hands at Ozzy`s command.
